Yesterday Linux Mint team released its KDE based distribution and again they have done marvelous job with it. According to DistroWatch there has been ever increasing rise in popularity of this distro and it beats Debian, Mandriva and OpenSUSE by far in popularity rating.

It was not long time ago when we heard that Orkut Brazil and TechCrunch was hacked, and today India’s largest software vendor and service provider,TCS, was hacked by a French Hacker. These hacks have put up a question mark to the security-services provided by the company.

Mozilla finally released ver 1.0 of its Weave Project. This project is aimed at development of an add-on which could act as a synchronization tool, as in case of Opera with Opera Links. Mozilla has taken it way beyond just bookmark synchronization and incorporated a whole new level of web experience with other features like password, history and tab synchronization. It synchronizes content on all the devices running either Firefox or Fennec mobile browser by Mozilla.

Google Chrome ver 4.0 was released yesterday. A lot many new features were incorporated in this new release. In addition to inclusion of much awaited extension system, Google has made it 400% more stable since it was released last year (source Google). It also has its own bookmarks synchronization, but being primarily a Firefox user I wanted means to synchronize my bookmarks with Chrome.
